tusk ending explained

Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts. I don't have anything to add other than I think a lot of people and critics aren't being fair to this movie. There's potential for an interesting parallel, when Wallace cries could be the moment he realizes of Ally's infidelity. if (window.self != window.top) {nf=''} else {nf='NF/'}; ), but what's there has strong ties to one major poem: The Walrus and the Carpenter.

When podcaster Wallace travels to Canada to interview someone, he winds up meeting a strange man named Howe who has many stories to tell about his past life during his interview.

The Walrus in the poem does two things: he eats oysters, and he cries about it.

Ally and Teddy leave.

Plot Keywords A year later, we see them feeding walrus in an animal sanctuary, the girlfriend tells Wallace she still loves him, Wallace cries and we see a flashback where she basically says "crying is what separates us from the animals", and he hides away as the credits roll.
Their latest victim is the Kill Bill Kid, (Douglas Banks) who accidentally slices his right leg off with a katana. He serves Wallace tea and begins to tell a story about how he fought alongside Ernest Hemingway when he told him his famous quote "Always do sober what you'd do drunk.

ts=String.fromCharCode(60); Writing an analysis post about a Kevin Smith film, a movie where Justin Long turns into a walrus human-centipede style. I think the AV Club called it a "cinematic dare," and I think that's how a lot of people are viewing it. Ally and Teddy go to the Manitoba Exotic Animal Sanctuary. As Wallace screams, Howard mocks him and makes weird noises. He realizes he's been drugged and passes out.

We see a flashback to before Wallace took his trip. Official Discussion: Tusk [SPOILERS] Discussion Synopsis: When his best friend and podcast co-host goes missing in the backwoods of Canada, a young guy joins forces with his friend's girlfriend to search for him. Howe has plans to surgically and mentally turn Wallace into a walrus. Ally has been calling Wallace and has not been getting answers. In another flashback, we see right after the Kill Bill Kid show, Wallace admits to cheating on Ally with his fangirls. Wallace is still there, just disfigured into a walrus costume and accepting of his fate.

Specifically of Mr. Tusk and Wallace. He sheds a tear. It shows how really absurd the characters are and calls into question some key moments in the film, not as far as suspension of disbelief goes (that went out the window when you bought the ticket), but character motivations. Howe and LePointe are strong characters, but they don't really stand for anything (well, Howe does) and when they meet there is no tension and the confrontation is nonexistent. Howe thought the walrus (Mr. Tusk, specifically) more than an animal, he thought Mr. Tusk was the most beautiful, caring creature he ever met. Please share it with your friends... rnum=Math.round(Math.random() * 100000); The brand was Chug-Eh-Lug. So, when Wallace is turned into a Walrus, we're supposed to be happy.

In the present, Ally tells Wallace she loves him. Wallace wakes up the next day finding out Howe isn't the person he thought he was. Walruses and crying are joined together, and if a walrus cries in the media there's probably an influence of this poem.

It might be destined for cult film status as a result.

Howe revels at the return of his beloved Mr. Tusk in his monstrous aberration of man and walrus. Ally and Teddy meet him in a fast food place where he says he knew of a man that has reportedly capture about 23 victims and dismembered them. I was ready to hate this movie when I walked in the theater, but I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it and by how gripped I was by the story and characters.

I like your analysis. Wallace makes it to Canada and meets one of the people working at the airport. He points out to Wallace a bone on a mantle that belonged to a walrus, used during sex. Wallace drives to the home of the Kill Bill Kid to find that his family is mourning him since he committed suicide. Walruses abandon their young. Podcasters Wallace Bryton and Teddy Craft (Justin Long and Haley Joel Osment) are recording a bit for their show "Not See Party", laughing their heads off over a video that has caught their attention.

Howard tells him, "It'll be alright, Mr. Tusk". Such a great Canadian joke. What's really going on is a true transformation, note the big gulp drink is present in every scene with Wallace in the walrus scenes. Only when he goes "full walrus" and embraces the more primitive side of himself (which, of course, was there all along for all our claims that we're so different from animals) does he have the ability to free himself and feel genuine regret for what he's lost.
I would argue that the common interpretation, the one Kevin Smith put in there and the one for audiences to just "get", is yes. They cry in the wild when they are in intense pain or do not have a mate, and that sounds like our boy here. His cries are not human, they are walrus tears. The movie's central theme is humanity. All he can do now is hop and scream as he is chained up. Ally and Teddy get to Canada and try to call the police, but they get hung up on after Ally tells them the podcast site, "NotSeeParty.com" (because it sounds like "nazi", get it?). I don't know how those work on this board, this is my first time posting here. He even shows Wallace a bottle of liquor he shared with Hemingway.

Specifically, humanity in an animalistic context.

That will teach you to keep your mouth shut." Also, spoilers. Again, walruses cry when they lack a mate. When Wallace ventures to Canada for an interview that falls through at the last minute, he stops at a local bar for a drink and finds a flyer posted by an old adventurer (Michael Parks) who seeks to share his stories with anyone who will listen.

A brash and arrogant podcaster gets more than he bargained for when he travels to Canada to interview a mysterious recluse... who has a rather disturbing fondness for walruses. Send your questions or comments about this or any other spoiler to: THEMOVIESPOILER.com.

Wallace's friend Teddy and girlfriend Ally team up to find him. Thank you, and I'm sorry if this was not welcomed.

Howard continues to torment Wallace by making him swim with him in the water while nude. So the question most people will be asking themselves is, is there still Wallace in there? So much so that one of the walrus victims' mother "treated him like he was her own son" [paraphrased]).

Two years earlier, Guy met Howard when he was posing as a disabled man named Bartholomew.

He's getting oral sex from his girlfriend Ally (Genesis Rodriguez), but she stops as he's being rather rude about his trip.
