This was an interesting exploration of masculinity, though possibly more interesting than enlightening. Descent is a slim book, but it packs plenty of surprises per page.

I found his memories of childhood interesting and he comes across as someone I would love to talk to and really like as a person. I found myself reading bits out to my husband, and I think it's a great book to have out there for people, especially men, and especially young men.
