Farm animals especially, need a break sometimes and should not be treated like slaves. I believe that his opinion is justified in that in the world of Animal Farm, the animals appear to be sentient, and so their use for manual labor and slaugtering is basically slavery and murder.
Man is the enemy because he treats the animals poorly when he is supposed to be taking care of them. To me I believe old major is wrong. . 4EVA. Although Major has a good reason to say this I think a rebellion would also have its down sides. I agree with Mindy and say, I don’t think the animals should rebel because without man they will not be able to get the food needed to survive. When he goes to sleep, the animals of the farm hold a meeting in the barn to hear a speech from a boar named Old Major.
Although it may not be true for all humans, in his lifetime every human he had met treated him poorly. They will not be able to farm the right way, will eventually run out of food, and turn against each other. Just like in the real world, when you’re a farm animal locked up all of the time they haven’t really been to the real world.
I think that old major was right in saying that because we do abuse animals in some ways. According to Old Major, people are the enemy. Old Major believes that the enemy of all animals is Mankind. His ideas formed the basis of communism - his ideas are collectively known as 'Marxism', like 'Animalism' in the novel. Just like in Harrison Bergeon that type of society is destined to fail. The animals want man to vanish. Old Major is pretty much saying that we do nothing compared to animals. There are to many of them, and the animals are no match for humans. Karl Marx was a German philosopher who lived during the 19th-century.
Also by the end of the chapter all I could think was that Mr. Jones would come back.
I think the Old Major has a good point in his speech, but I do not completely agree. But, it is destined to eventually backfire on the animals. He says that humans just make animals do all of the work. Who provides THEM with food?
A power-hungry pig, Napoleon, becomes a totalitarian dictator who leads the Animal Farm into "All Animals Are Equal / But Some Are More Equal Than Others" oppression. I have a feeling that something might go wrong. According to Old Major the enemy is man, specifically Mr Jones. He’ll kill each and every animal that tries to rebel against him and the way he directs his farm. What then must we do?
In Animal Farm, Old Major said that they have one enemy and that is man. ', Old Major is partly based on Karl Marx (left) and Vladimir Lenin (right), Old Major is partly based on Karl Marx and Vladimir Lenin. The farmers in the book power and abuse it when they should leave some freedom . If i had a dream of something happening I would deffinatly try to accomplish it. Putting aside the fact that in reality, animals are really not intelligent enough to care about anything like this, I do think that he makes a valid point in suggesting that they should rebel. That is my message to you comrade: Rebellion!". In your opinion, does Old Major have a valid point here? I also think it is improbable for the animals to take over the farm. Also because the animalsare feed the minimal amount of food in order to survive. No matter how you look at it, there are some advantages to having someone with opposable thumbs to help you out. Even if they do have a revolution, what will they do with the freedom if they only have it for a short time before they begin to die. Lenin was a revolutionary thinker who came up with the basic concept of the Russian Revolution.
I think that the problem Old Major is talking about is the way we humans act. Is it not crystal clear, then, comrades, that all the evils of this life of ours spring from the tyranny of human beings? Humans are the enemy because they kill the animals.
I believe that the concept of animals rebelling against humans is a little bit crazy.
