The water was beautiful though and on an extremely hot day it was refreshing. We stayed at a site for a weekend at McCrae Point. Great place.....TOO much Goose crap to avoid. Our site also wasn’t cleaned before we got there and there was garbage left from the people that were there before us. The staff kept mostly everyone quiet and we get it, kids are noisy and they are in the wild, so overall, a good place to go with or without kids. Looking forward to coming back to this campground after exploring a few more (Sibbald is next). There was... We were at site 17 which is pictured on the reservation web site as grass covered. Considering I am not a fan of provincial park camping (i like quiet solitude) with neighbors on both side and behind (such as the North Campground, the South campground is really well laid out with lots of. The Ontario Provincial Park Reservation web site needs to up date their site pictures. It was complete mud even though there was no rain the week (Aug 10-14) we stayed. Because of Covid-19 the store was closed as well as any vending machines. Nothing to mention. #17 is a mud pit.
